NEW YORK, N.Y. – Mary-Louise Parker is returning to Broadway this fall in the quirky, romantic play “Heisenberg.”

Manhattan Theatre Club said Tuesday it will transfer Simon Stephens’ lovely drama to its Samuel J. Friedman Theatre in September. The play made its world premiere last summer off-Broadway.

In “Heisenberg,” two strangers — a 33-year-old woman and a 75-year-old man — embark on an affair and find their lives changes irrevocably. Parker will play opposite Denis Arndt, who played the male role opposite her off-Broadway.

Mark Brokaw will again direct.

Parker won a Tony Award in David Auburn’s Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning play “Proof” and her other Broadway credits include “Reckless,” ”The Snow Geese” and “Hedda Gabler.”
