Trending: Drew Storen quick to win over Blue Jays fans on social media

The ink isn’t even dry on his contract but already Drew Storen is winning over Blue Jays fans on social media.

The right-handed reliever was picked up from Washington on Friday night for outfielder Ben Revere and it didn’t take him long to show some new love for the city.

The 28 year old changed his profile on Twitter to read “Pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays and apparently now a Drake fan.”

Then he openly wondered when he was going to get to meet the city’s biggest social media celebrity – city councillor Norm Kelly.

Jays fans were quick to reciprocate the love, including Coun. Kelly.

Storen was 21-13 with 95 saves and a 3.02 earned-run average in six major league seasons, all with the Nationals.
