Two people in custody after teens stabbed in Scarborough

Two people have been taken into custody after a few teens were stabbed in Scarborough.

The stabbings happened around 1:15 a.m. at the Markham Convention Centre on Markham Road, north of McNicoll Avenue.

According to police, students from at least two schools were participating in an event at the venue when another group of students showed up and a fight broke out.

A 17-year-old male was taken to the hospital with a stab wound to the abdomen and is in stable condition.

Another male had a machete wound to the back of the head and another had a wound to the face.

Police have not laid any charges.
