OSSTF reaches tentative agreement for education workers and support staff

The Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation has confirmed to 680 NEWS that they’ve reached a tentative deal with the province for its 15,000 education workers and support staff.

The members include maintenance workers in both the public and catholic school boards across the province.

Details of the tentative agreement have not been released.

The OSSTF has been without a contract for more than a year. Working conditions and job security were the two main sticking points.

Secondary school support workers began limited job action in early October.
