Durham police have released surveillance photos of a man suspected of stealing more than $3,000 worth of perfume from two drug stores in Bowmanville.
Around 7 p.m. last Saturday, a man went into the Shoppers Drug Mart on Highway 2 at Clarington Boulevard and stole numerous bottles of perfume.
Store security cameras caught him removing the bottles from their boxes and hiding them in his jacket. Police say more than $1,900 worth of perfume was stolen.
The same man targeted another Shoppers Drug Mart in the Bowmanville mall about 20 minutes later. He allegedly made off with around $1,100 worth of perfume at this location, police say.
He’s described as white, around 50 to 55 years old, about five-feet nine-inches tall with a medium build. He has short hair and was wearing black pants, a brown leather coat and a black Pittsburgh Penguins ball cap.
Police say a white female in her 40s with long reddish hair may have been with the suspect.
