Pedestrian injured in hit-and-run near Yonge and Eglinton, police say

Toronto police say a fail-to-remain collision on Tuesday night put a woman in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident happened just after 6 p.m. in the area of Yonge Street and Castlefield Avenue, a few streets north of Eglinton Avenue.

Police say a pedestrian, in her 30s, made contact with a vehicle and fell, striking her head.

There is no description of the vehicle that drove away.

There were two other cases of vehicles hitting pedestrians in Toronto on Tuesday night.

Minor collisions were reported at Markham Road and Lawrence Avenue East as well as Kipling Avenue and Rexdale Boulevard.
