Mickey Mouse, Bart Simpson, other animated characters to get their due in Fox TV special

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Mickey Mouse, Bart Simpson and Scooby-Doo will share the limelight in a TV special paying tribute to cartoon characters.
Fox said Thursday it will air a two-hour program honouring 40 animated stars that have touched fans with humour and even proved influential.
The program, titled “TV’s Funniest Animated Stars: A Paley Center for Media Special,” is from the non-profitcentre that focuses on media and society.
“TV’s Funniest Animated Stars” will include interviews with Tony Anselmo, who has voiced Donald Duck; Nancy Cartwright, who provides Bart’s voice on “The Simpsons”; Tom Kenny, the voice of SpongeBob SquarePants; and other actors.
The special will air Dec. 7 on Fox.
