Hold and secure lifted at Mississauga high school after unspecified threat

A high school in Mississauga is no longer under a hold and secure, and a person is in custody after an unspecified threat against the school.
Our Lady of Mount Carmel Secondary was placed on hold and secure around 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, along with Trelawny Public Elementary, also in Mississauga.
The hold and secure at Trelawny was lifted at 8:40 a.m.
Police said the hold and secure at Mount Carmel was lifted just before 2 p.m. and that a young person was taken into custody by at a nearby home. There has been no word on charges.
The threat was apparently posted on the internet by someone saying they were going to “shoot up” the school during the second period of classes.
