TAYLOR, B.C. – The Transportation Safety Board says two people have died in a plane crash in northeastern British Columbia.
Spokesman Chris Krepski says the crash happened late Friday afternoon while a privately owned Cessna was taking off from a grass runway near the community of Taylor, just south of Fort St. John.
He says the plane crashed and the two people who were onboard were fatally injured.
Krepski says there was also a fire after the crash.
Investigators from Edmonton were expected to arrive on the scene early Saturday afternoon.
