Pedestrian dead after being struck by two vehicles in Etobicoke

A male pedestrian is dead after he was struck by two vehicles while attempting to cross Islington Avenue on Saturday night, Toronto police confirm.
Const. Clint Stibbe told 680NEWS that emergency crews were called to the area of Islington Avenue and Deerfoot Road, north of Eglinton Avenue West, around 7:30 p.m.
Police say the victim, believed to be in his 20s, was struck on Islington Avenue by the vehicles, which were travelling in opposite directions.
The drivers of both vehicles remained at the scene.
Police are advising drivers to avoid the area as road closures will be in place.
