Five people have been sent to hospital following a three-vehicle crash in the Don Mills and Lawrence Avenue East area on Friday morning.
According to police, it appears a car was speeding when it clipped a cab pulling onto the street.
The car then struck a pole, and then a bus shelter and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian has life-threatening head injuries. Police are not sure where the pedestrian was at the time of the crash.
It is also not clear how the third vehicle was involved.
Of the five people taken to hospital, two have serious injuries – including the pedestrian – and three have minor ones.
Lawrence was closed in both directions from Victoria Park Avenue to Railside Road, but has since reopened.
