TTC fires supervisor over alleged benefits fraud

The TTC has fired one of its supervisors over an alleged benefits fraud scheme that is the subject of an internal investigation and a criminal one by Toronto police.
Last July, police laid several charges against the owner of Healthy Fit, which was providing health care products and services to some TTC employees.
It’s alleged receipts were provided to individuals by Healthy Fit for claim reimbursement where no product or service was actually obtained or the receipt amounts were inflated.
The TTC says interviews with employees who made claims began several weeks ago and it’s anticipated more employees will face discipline and could possibly lose their jobs.
No criminal charges have yet been laid.
The names of the employees facing discipline are not being made public.
