Richmond Hill man accused of exposing himself while asking for directions

A 30-year-old man is facing charges in connection with several indecent act incidents in Richmond Hill.

In November of last year, York regional police say they a man in a vehicle approached women for directions while he exposed and touched himself. In both cases, the alleged incidents took place north of Major Mackenzie Drive and east of Bayview Avenue.

Police also investigated incidents that occurred in the same areas in March, June and August of this year, matching a similar suspect description.

In each of these cases, police say the suspect was seen driving a grey four-door Mercedes, police say.

The victims range in ages from 15 to 66. They were not injured.

Shahab Mobasher, 30, from Richmond Hill, faces seven indecent act charges. Police arrested him on Monday. He is scheduled to appear in a Newmarket court on Oct. 7.
