A 38-year old woman is facing a slew of charges for allegedly selling fake airline tickets primarily to the Philippines.
Toronto police said unsuspecting victims would book the low-fare airline tickets through the woman by cash or credit card, but they never got any tickets.
Those who had given the woman their credit card numbers also reported unauthorized charges appearing on their statement.
Police estimate the scam netted Lorna Natalie Arcega about $150,000.
Arcega faces 18 charges including fraud, unauthorized use of credit card data and uttering forged documents.
Charges were also laid against the woman by the Travel Industry Council of Ontario.
Police said Arcego used different names and may also be known as Natalie.
Investigators believe there may be other victims.
