Boy who wrote adorable note did it to avoid Toronto Library fines

A young boy who wrote an adorable note, apologizing for ripping a Toronto Library book, says he did it to avoid the fines.
Jackson told Breakfast Television on Wednesday he wrote the letter “so the librarians wouldn’t charge me.”
At first, the eight-year-old thought his mom Allison could tape up the ripped page. She did, but it wasn’t perfect, so Jackson wrote a note.
The note, addressed to “Library” and signed by “Jackson,” explains in large blue writing that a page accidentally ripped after the book fell from the bunk where the child had fallen asleep reading.
The boy then writes that he’s sorry and swears “it won’t happen again.”
The missive quickly went viral, which Allison only realized on Tuesday night.
“It’s insane. The neighbour said, ‘did you see the news?’ And then one right after the other, things kept popping up,” Allison said.
Jackson is a big reader and loves Tintin, Asterix and Game Night books. He was so pleased to learn the Toronto Library plans to frame the note and keep it in their Main Street branch.
“That is going to be awesome when we go there,” he said.
