A fundraiser taking place at an Orono shooting range this weekend is putting a Conservative candidate squarely in the crosshairs.
Oshawa MP Colin Carrie is the “special guest” at the annual event, which takes place this Saturday at the Orono Fish & Hunt Club.
The fundraiser will give “supporters the opportunity to safely handle and discharge a wide assortment of firearms with the assistance of trained and seasoned firearms owners,” the event poster states.
When asked why the shooting range was chosen as the venue, Carrie’s office referred CityNews to the event chair, Heather McConaghy. She didn’t answer the question but said that “range officers will be on site to enforce the safety regulations of the club.”
Additional questions about the choice of venue were not answered.
