Toronto man arrested following identity theft investigation

After a two-month investigation, Halton police have charged a 48-year-old Toronto man with making identity information available for a fraudulent purpose.

Moussa Kante, a former employee of GM Financial, was allegedly providing customers’ identity information to counterfeiters.

Police say that GM Financial customers who believe they may have fallen victim to identity theft should wait to be contacted by the company.
