Need to pee? At one Tim Hortons, you’ve only got 2 minutes to do your business

Check your bladder at the door.

One Harbourfront Tim Hortons restaurant is definitely putting “a quick trip to the bathroom” to the test.

On the door of the bathroom of the Tim Hortons at Queens Quay and Rees St. is a sign that clearly states: “Please be considerate of others and please use our washrooms MAXIMUM ONLY 2 MINUTES. After that, someone will knock on the door.”

Need to wash your hands? Not likely. Touch up your makeup? No chance. Got a shy bladder? Too bad. Get your business done and hit the bricks, pal.

Weigh your decision to have that second double-double very, very carefully.

“Everybody goes into the washroom and have different paces of doing their business. In a way, it’s not fair,” one customer told the Toronto Sun. “But at the same time it’s the establishment’s decision to make.”

“It’s a busy place,” said Queens Quay resident Diana Pereira. “It’s usually packed.”

But she said there is an alternative for those who need some extra time. “There’s a public washroom right across the street.”
