Pan Am Games roundup: Canada going for gold on Day 5

What a day, eh! Team Canada continues to dominate the gold medal table holding strong to the top podium spot with a total of 33 medals, at the end of day five.

Team Canada collected 18 medals in just one day.

The women’s quadruple sculls won gold, the men’s lightweight four won gold, the men’s eight won gold and Robert Gibson won a silver in the men’s single sculls.

Ellie Black is cleaning house in gymnastics with a total of five medals: three gold, one silver and one bronze.

There was also a plethora of medals won in the pool.

Team Canada lost its number one spot on the total medal tally to Team US by just three medals.

Canada has a total of 82 medals, the United States holds the largest amount of medals with 85.
