Toronto police are looking for a thief who made off with a pair of valuable sports championship rings in a residential break-in.
The Canadian mementos – a 1977 Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup ring and a 1993 Toronto Blue Jays World Series ring – were stolen from a west-end home on Canada Day.
The stolen jewelry, valued at approximately $500,000, was taken from a home in The Kingsway and Prince Edward Dr. North area in the evening, police say.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
