Cyclist killed in Milton hit-and-run

A cyclist is dead after a hit-and-run in Milton.
Emergency crews were called to Tremaine Road, near the new velodrome that will be used for Pan Am Games cycling event, around 9:30 p.m. Friday.
Halton police said bicycle was struck from behind, causing fatal injuries to the 50-year-old rider. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The vehicle fled the scene but police said it was found a short time later.
A 33-year-old Oakville woman is facing several charges including impaired operation causing death, and fail to stop at a scene causing death.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact investigators.
