Firefighters and police rescued several pets from a house engulfed in flames in Vaughan on Friday around 1:30 p.m.
The fire chief at Vaughan Fire Rescue Service says there was no one home at the time and that they rescued some pets.
Police later told CityNews that three to four animals were saved — one cat, and several dogs.
The roof was burned off at the home located at 149 Joanna Crescent.
No injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
