Homicide detectives investigating elderly woman’s death in Richmond Hill

A man was arrested after an elderly woman was found dead in a Richmond Hill apartment building on Saturday morning, York police confirm.
Investigators were called to the address on Baif Boulevard, in the area of Weldrick Road West and Yonge Street, at 5:15 a.m.
Police say they have arrested a 23-year-old man who knew the woman but wouldn’t elaborate.
No names have been released as the next of kin has yet to be notified.
