The province’s police watchdog is investigating after a driver crashed into a pole in Brampton overnight.
The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) said a Peel police officer tried to stop a car near Clark Boulevard and Heart Lake Road South around 12:20 a.m. Sunday.
The driver allegedly sped away and hit a hydro pole on Rutherford Road South, near Queen Street East.
The two men in the car were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The SIU probes cases involving police where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
