Labour trouble continues to brew with Ontario’s elementary teachers, making strikes possible in a matter of weeks.
The Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario has requested a “no board” report.
A lockout or strike is legally possible seventeen days after a ‘no board’ report is issued.
The Ministry of Labour has the authority to decide and that could take several days.
The union says its membership has made it clear that they believe the demands being tabled by the Ontario Public School Boards Association and the government are unreasonable.
