One neighbour, who asked his name not be used, witnessed the shooting. He told 680 NEWS everyone in the building was very upset and many kids living in the building saw the entire scene.

The neighbour heard shouting outside his window and when he opened it he noticed a man standing at the opposite building with a knife.

“Two police cars came. He was not obeying them so they shoot the guy.”

He said he heard about six or seven shots.

“My little girl was crying,” he said. “It kept me up all night.”

“They killed the young man, what was the reason of killing him,” the neighbour told 680 NEWS. “If I carry a knife in my hand are they allowed to kill me.”

“There is a rule of law in Canada so what is the difference between here and the third world countries,” he said.
