Toronto woman identified as victim in Brampton homicide

Peel police have released the identity of a woman found murdered in Brampton on Sunday morning.

Kathryn Horne, 58, of Toronto, was discovered after police received a call around 12:30 a.m. about a disturbance at a house on Nanwood Drive, near Main and Queen streets.

When investigators went inside, they found the woman’s body with obvious injuries.

Const. Fiona Thivierge said a suspect was arrested at the home.

Richard Pereira, 36, appeared in court on Sunday and is facing a second-degree murder charge.
