Man found with stab wound in Leaside dies, police say not a homicide

Toronto police are investigating the death of a man near Eglinton Avenue and Laird Drive that they’re calling “suspicious.”

A man in his 60s was found without vital signs with a stab wound at a townhouse complex on Thomas Eglie Drive just after midnight on Thursday.

He was rushed to hospital where he died.

Police say a man was walking his dog when he found the victim covered in blood. He was located at the top of the stairs of a parking garage.

While police are treating this as a suspicious death, it’s not believed to be a homicide or a suicide.

They are investigating whether the incident could have been accidental.
