Thornhill man faces 13 charges in sex assault investigation

A 36-year old man is facing 13 charges in connection with a sexual assault investigation in North York.

The alleged incident occurred around 11 a.m. on Friday in the Empress Walk shopping complex on Yonge Street, north of Sheppard Avenue East.

A 22-year-old woman told police the man approached and sexually assaulted her, but fled when a witness confronted him.

Toronto police arrested Henry Kang, 36, of Thornhill, on Monday. He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.

He was charged with two counts of sexual assault, criminal harassment, mischief, and six counts of failing to comply with a probation.

Police believe there may be other victims.
