Suspect sought for series of Toronto gas thefts

Toronto police are asking for help in identifying a suspect wanted for a series of gas thefts.

Most have taken place in the Morningside Avenue and Sheppard Avenue East area, but two were in the Rexdale Boulevard and Highway 27 area.

The thefts started in September 2014 with the most recent occurring at 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 4.

The latest one was captured on surveillance video.

Police say the suspect is described as brown with a light complexion, 30 to 40 years old and about six-feet tall. He has black curly hair, a mustache, beard and sideburns.

The vehicle he’s been driving is a new model black Infiniti SUV.
