Man wanted for attempted murder in Dawes Road shooting

Police are looking for a man wanted for attempted murder in connection with a shooting in the city’s east end last October.

Police accuse Jerome Balfour, 25, of being one of three men who entered an apartment on Dawes Road, near St. Clair and Victoria Park, on Oct. 21, and allegedly shot a man following an altercation.

The victim, a 28-year-old man, survived the shooting.

The three men fled the area, and two of those men have been arrested and are facing charges.

Nathan Holdsworth, 31, of Toronto, has been charged with 19 offences, including attempted murder and robbery. He appeared in court on Oct. 25.

Joel Pettigrew, 31, of Toronto, faces three charges, including attempted murder and robbery. He made a court appearance on Nov. 7.

Balfour is considered armed and dangerous, police said. Anyone who spots him should call 911.
