Police arrest 2nd boy, 14, accused in violent purse snatchings

Police have arrested and charged a 14-year-old boy with robbery on Wednesday in connection with a series of violent purse snatchings over the weekend.

He is scheduled to appear in court at at 311 Jarvis St.

Another 14-year-old suspect was arrested on Tuesday. He appeared in court that same day facing two counts of robbery.

The alleged incidents occurred in the lakefront area of downtown Toronto.

Four women were attacked, and one had a gun pulled on her, in the span of three hours on Sunday evening, police said.

The suspects cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
