Edmonton Oilers fire head coach

The Edmonton Oilers have fired head coach Dallas Eakins.
Eakins was the head coach of the Toronto Marlies from 2009-2013.
Sportsnet reports that the team’s general manager Craig MacTavish is the interim coach.
Edmonton is last in the NHL’s Western Conference with a 7-19-5 record.
