Adelaide road closure & partial subway shutdown this weekend

Below is a list of road closures in Toronto for construction and ongoing road work.

Construction projects

Adelaide Street West road, watermain and TTC work
Adelaide Street West, from Simcoe to York streets, will be closed from 7 p.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. on Monday.

One lane of University Avenue in each direction — at the point where University crosses Adelaide — will be maintained during the weekend, so that traffic on University can cross Adelaide without detouring.

Adelaide has already partially closed for watermain work, TTC track removal and road reconstruction. The project, which began in September, is expected to be completed in mid-November.

Bathurst closure for road, watermain and TTC work
The intersection of Bathurst Street and Dundas Street West will be closed until Nov. 20.

The TTC and city road crews are undertaking track work, watermain repairs and other road improvements at the intersection, and the 511 Bathurst streetcar will continue to be replaced by buses until this phase of construction is completed.

The 505 Dundas streetcar and the 511 Bathurst bus will also be on diversion.

Don Mills Road closure for watermain work
The southbound curb lane of Don Mills Road, from York Mills Road to Lawrence Avenue East, will be closed until Nov. 30 for watermain relining.

An additional southbound lane on Don Mills will be closed from Mallard Avenue to Bond Avenue from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. every day.

TTC closure

Portion of Line 1 closed for track work
Subway service will be shut down between Bloor-Yonge and Eglinton stations on Line 1 (Yonge-University-Spadina) on Saturday and Sunday for track replacement work.

Shuttle buses will be running between the two stations.

Davisville, St Clair and Rosedale stations will remain open for riders to make fare purchases and connect to surface routes.
