Elementary Teachers of Toronto union endorses Olivia Chow

The Elementary Teachers of Toronto (ETT) union is endorsing Olivia Chow as mayor.
“With a progressive agenda and a history of support for publicly funded education, labour, and working families, Olivia can be counted on to champion issues of social justice and equity, defend workers’ rights, and advocate on behalf of students and teachers,” a statement on the ETT website reads.
The ETT is the largest local union in Canada, representing more than 11,000 elementary teachers employed by the Toronto District School Board.
It is part of the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO).
