Man, 43, charged with first-degree murder in Don Mills stabbing

Toronto police have charged a 43-year-old man with first-degree murder in connection with a stabbing in the Don Mills Road area over the weekend.

Police and paramedics were called to a home on Axsmith Crescent, near Finch Avenue East, at around 9:45 p.m. on Sunday.

San Tai Yuan, 56, was pronounced dead at the scene. He is the city’s 36th homicide of the year.

Two other people — one man in his early 40s and a woman, also in her 40s — were transported to a local hospital with injuries.

At the time, police said the injured man was in police custody in hospital.

Zhebin Cong, of Toronto, was arrested on Sunday. He appeared in court on Tuesday morning.
