Arson suspected in 4 separate fires in downtown Toronto

Toronto police are searching for a suspect believed to be responsible for four separate fires in the downtown core.

Seven vehicles were either damaged or destroyed after being set on fire.

The first fire, which occurred at Frederick and Wilton streets, at around 10:50 p.m. on Sunday, damaged one vehicle.

Another vehicle was damaged in a fire in an above-ground parking lot at 55 The Esplanade. Police received a call for this fire at around 11 p.m.

Three vehicles were damaged following a fire at a multi-level parking garage at Church Street and The Esplanade.

Two vehicles were damaged in a fire at a garage at 181 Davenport Rd. in the Hazelton Lanes area. This incident occurred at around 2:15 a.m. The Ontario Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate.

Anyone who witnessed the incidents is being asked to call police.

No injuries were reported.
