Environment Canada has ended a tornado warning for parts of southern Ontario, including Barrie, Collingwood and Midland.

Other areas no longer affected by the warning include Hillsdale, Coldwater and Orr Lake.

The agency’s meteorologists had earlier tracked a thunderstorm that was possibly producing a waterspout moving northeastward across Nottawasaga Bay towards Wendake Beach and Wymbolwood Beach.

It issued the warning around 5:30 p.m. but ended it half an hour later.

“The tornadic waterspout has weakened as it has come ashore from Nottawasaga Bay,” the agency said.
