Man freed from car after crash with bus

A man in his 40s is in hospital after his Jeep was T-boned by a private bus overnight.
It happened around 1 a.m. Sunday at Islington and Finch avenues in the city’s northwest end.
Firefighters were called on to extricate the man, who had become trapped in his car.
Toronto EMS said the man was in serious condition, but conscious and breathing, when they took him to a trauma centre.
Police believe he had run a red light just before the crash.
The intersection was closed to traffic for about five hours.
