Flooding closes 407 at Appleby Line & QEW at Guelph Line

Flooding from powerful rains have closed Highway 407 both ways from Highyway 403 to Appleby Line in Burlington, the OPP confirms.
The eastbound lanes of the QEW are also closed after flooding at Guelph Line. The westbound lanes of the QEW west of Appleby have also flooded.
The flooding has also caused service adjustments to GO Transit.
It’s not clear how long the closures will last.
There have also been reports of heavy flooding in parts of south Burlington.
Police are asking people to limit their travel on the roads around the city for the time being. If they have to venture out, please exercise due caution and drive safely.
And on his official Twitter account, Mayor Rob Ford noted “isolated” flooding in Toronto.
