Body found behind Brampton plaza deemed homicide

Peel police are looking for witnesses after a body was found behind a plaza on Friday.

Emergency crews were called to the scene at Hurontario Street and Conservation Drive in Brampton around 10 a.m. after receiving a report of a deceased man.

“It was somebody that worked in the plaza just close to where the victim was located [that found] the male party close to some bushes… just east of the plaza,” Cst. George Todos said.

Police say the victim suffered extensive injuries and following an autopsy, his death was deemed a homicide.

The victim has been identified as 53-year-old Brampton resident Tho Huynh.

Police say they would like to speak with anyone who may have seen or spoken to Huynh in the days before his death.

This is Peel’s third homicide of the year.
