South Simcoe police said she was playing on a sports field in Bradford, north of Toronto, with another 15-year-old girl when she somehow was injured by the crossbar.
She was rushed to hospital, where she died.
It’s not clear just what happened with the crossbar and police didn’t immediately provide more details.
The death is being investigated though foul play is not suspected.
Rest in peace Jaime Palm, one of the most beautiful and incredible athletes I know. pic.twitter.com/trhlfdDkf4
