A 25-year-old man is in hospital after he was stabbed in the Harbourfront area and then jumped in a taxi late Friday night.

Police said the stabbing happened at Queens Quay West and Rees Street, but the injured man had taken a cab to Adelaide Street West and University Avenue, less than two kilometres away.

Paramedics found him there around midnight and took him to St. Michael’s Hospital with a chest wound.

He’s in serious condition, but will survive.

So far, police have not released any suspect information.
