Air Canada cancels Tel Aviv flight due to Gaza conflict

Air Canada has cancelled Wednesday night’s flight to and from Tel Aviv from Toronto’s Pearson airport.

In a tweet, the airline said it will “continue to evaluate going forward and update.”

This is the second day in a row that the airline has cancelled its flights to and from Tel Aviv due to the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

In the United States, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has extended its ban on U.S. flights to and from Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport for another 24 hours, as it continues to “monitor and evaluate the situation.”

On Tuesday, the agency had implemented the ban in response to a rocket strike that landed around 1.6 kilometres from the airport.
