Guelph bus service suspended after workers reject contract deal

There is no bus service in Guelph after union members rejected the city’s latest contract deal.
Members of Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1189 voted on Sunday to reject a tentative contract agreement that was reached a week ago and endorsed by the union executive.
Transit service is now suspended indefinitely while the union members reconsider the offer.
The city is offering refunds to all bus pass holders.
