Group of friends beaten, robbed while responding to Kijiji ad

Police are looking for a Toronto man accused of beating and robbing a group of four friends who were responding to a Kijiji ad for a car for sale.

On Monday, an 18-year-old man and his three friends met the suspect in an underground garage near Jane Street and Grandravine Drive, north of Sheppard Avenue West.

It’s alleged as the suspect was showing them a car, a group of men surrounded the would-be buyers and robbed them at gunpoint.

The victims were beaten with rocks, stripped of their clothes and threatened with a machete and a gun.

They were also forced to call friends and family and ask for a ransom.

Four hours later they escaped and called police.

Alhaji Kabba, 18, is wanted for several crimes, including aggravated assault, forcible confinement and extortion.

He is black, six-foot-one and 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

He could be armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Police said anyone who sees him should call 911.
