Durham police are looking for two suspects after a Whitby couple was robbed while trying to sell kittens.
It happened around 6 p.m. Monday at a home near Coronation and Columbus roads.
Police said the couple — a woman in a wheelchair and her husband — had advertised kittens for sale and let two possible buyers into their home.
One of the visitors, a woman, asked to use the washroom. It’s alleged while out of sight, she stole jewelry, cash, a purse and other items.
Officers are looking for a white woman in her mid-30s with a tattoo on her left forearm and a white man with a scruffy, black beard and several tattoos.
