Police have confirmed that the three bodies found in a burned out car are those of a missing father and two children from Mississauga.
Samuel Masih and his two children were reported missing by his family at 1:30 a.m. on Friday after they didn’t return from a movie on Thursday.
Their bodies were found by firefighters after they put out a car fire at 5:41 a.m. on Friday in Oro-Medonte near Barrie.
On Wednesday, the OPP said autopsies concluded a day earlier at Toronto’s Centre of Forensic Sciences confirmed their identities. But they declined to provide a cause of death and withheld the names of the two sons, aged 10 and four.
“The deceased’s family is asking for privacy and does not wish to participate in media interviews at this difficult time,” police said.
