The OPP found what appear to be remains of three people after firefighters put out a vehicle fire near Barrie early Friday morning.

Police said they learned about the fire on Holick Road, north of 4th Line in Oro-Medonte, around 5:45 a.m.

Once the fire was out, police discovered three bodies inside the vehicle that had Ontario plates.

The vehicle and bodies were taken to the Centre of Forensic Sciences in Toronto, and police said autopsies would be done early next week.
