Maple Leafs acquire Frattin from Blue Jackets

Matt Frattin is a Toronto Maple Leaf … again.

The Leafs acquired the winger from the Columbus Blue Jackets for forward Jerry D’Amigo and a conditional seventh-round draft pick in the 2015 NHL Draft.

Frattin, 26, was traded by the Leafs to the Los Angeles Kings last summer as part of the Jonathan Bernier deal.

Frattin spent 40 games with the Kings before being dealt to the Blue Jackets where he had one assist in four games. He was drafted by the Leafs 99th overall in 2007. In 82 career games with Toronto, he registered 28 points and 29 penalty minutes.

D’Amigo, 23, played 22 games with the Leafs last season, but has spent most of his pro career with the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League. He was drafted by the Leafs 158th overall in 2009.
